I have 2011 LP, recently produced Mofi-sacd and now this one.
I bought it because I love the additional songs especially the Worried Life Blues and the Circus as they performed on this concert. And I knew that there was a full video performance like this on MTV with comments and additional songs, which I found great.
So, this is no way a replacement but a welcome extention for the original great album.
As for the sound, I really like it. Great separation, great stage. Clapton's "big foot" (which I like) seems to be not so noisy as on original album, but who cares? The high frequencies like Ray Cooper's triangles are so crispy and bright and Nathan's acoustic bass goes really deep on some moments. But the thing I like most on this record in general is that it's not perfect. It's a great live performance of acoustic blues and it sounds like live. It makes no sense to expect a studio perfection in this case (what I read out from some comments on discogs).
Funny, I realised just two days ago that, first, The lonely Stranger is Clapton's Song (I always thought this should be some delta evergreen), and, second, that there is the only version of this song on this album. I mean, there is no studio version. Great Clapton
