Текст с обложки: House of Echo was created in 2012 when the pianist Enzo Carniel and the guitarist Marc-Antonio Perrio decided to create a spaced and improvised music that reconnects and reconciles us with true listening and time. In contrast to hasty effects and the immediacy with which our impatient age compromises itself, their compositions are created and develop through duration, suggesting subtle modulations of colors and tones, between melodic abstraction and allusive grooves, shimmering textures and sonic clashes, drawing a range of "soundscapes" with powerful dreamlike capacities. Echo chamber of memories, haunted house of unpredictable sounds. House of Echo is constructed in the moment through the combination of instrumental materials, between acoustic purity and electric perturbation, clarity of architectures and interference of structures, the music resonating in a game of diffractions and of shimmering effects that make it particularly delicate and unpredictable. Attentive to the spaces and the temporalities it creates - sometimes with minimal sound materials - at the border between notes and effects, the compositions and the traits, the four members of the group strive towards a common goal, sometimes close to silence, or provoking tensions in a fragile balance of deliberately elusive forms whose unstable and shifting character create a certain aural fascination. Through this interplay of echoes and metamorphoses the compositions develop kinetically, aural accidents becomo musical events, reverberations turn into sources of reveries, repetitions exert a hypnotic power as it unfolds, under the hallmark of jazz which suddenly and unexpectedly surges forth, a music that has no other age than the present and is heard as the sum of the influences that inspire the four musicians. Combining melodic dilations, noisy treatments, atmospheric improvisations, shards of free jazz, concrete manipulations, rock energy and sculpted distortions as so many ways of sparking musical beauty from the sound materials. House of Echo draws out through the multiplicity of its minuscule noises and its illuminated notes, the beauty of its poetic mysteries, revealing under the wob of its collective roofing a refined lyricism with profound contemplative virtues.
