Описание: Первая часть картины рассказывает об основоположнике космонавтики К. Э. Циолковском, об истории развития ракетной техники, о развитии и перспективах космонавтики. Вторая часть - научно-фантастическое игровое кино. Постановщики предлагают пофантазировать о том, как будет происходить освоение человеком Дальнего Космоса. Очень правдоподобно и впечатляюще даже сегодня показан эффект невесомости космонавтов. Наглядно показываются принципы космических полетов. В форме игрового кино продемонстрирован первый в мире полет человека в космос. А также первый полет человека на Луну.
Доп. информация: Фильм в целом снят до запуска первого Спутника. Лишь в последний момент были досняты соответствующие кадры (натурные съёмки сделаны летом, спутник запущен в октябре 1957-го).
Версия фильма: Немецкая прокатная студии DEFA с локализованным видеорядом (титры, надписи).
Об этом релизе: Кастом создан из оригинального немецкого DVD фирмы IceStorm c помощью TMPGEnc Authoring Works 5 (меню) и DVDRemake Pro 3.6.4 (ре-авторинг) без пережатия оригинальных аудио и видео. Русский звук взят из
раздачи SpaceDust, субтитры взяты из ныне несуществующей раздачи
Arias.
