Описание: The Music Director Riccardo Chailly inaugurates the 2019/2020 Season of the Teatro alla Scala with Giacomo Puccini's Tosca, one of the best known and most loved masterpieces of the repertoire that is being staged for the first time on December 7th. The opera performed in a critical edition is part of the project to revisit the main Puccini titles in the light of the most up-to-date musicological research promoted by M° Chailly. The staging is by Davide Livermore, who has already successfully signed Attila for the 2018/2019 Inauguration, and Anna Netrebko will once again be a great protagonist, together with Francesco Meli and Luca Salsi. Tosca, staged for the first time in 1900, marks a turning point in the history of Italian opera after Verdi foreshadowing almost cinematographic solutions.
