'After the success of our first ever release, the Nesh EP, we thought we’d invite Composite back for a second outing in the form of the frankly epic New Mind EP which features three original tracks and a remix from the indomitable HLZ.
New Mind, the title track, epitomises the term thinking man’s weapon. All parts halftime, ornate and vicious; it really brings the heat.
Featuring the vocal talents of scene darling Charli Brix, Imbue is a warm liquid with a cold soul that pares off against some razor sharp percussion.
The last original Composite track, Coherence, is something altogether different. Sparsely built in 7/8 time, it’s a cutting-edge throwback to some classic jungle flavours, reminiscent of old Photek.
Last but by no means least is HLZ’s weapons grade remix of New Mind. It’s a no-holds-barred roller that takes no prisoners and shakes foundations.
