Cryo was started 2002 by Martin Rudefelt and he currently does all composing, performing and producing in his Cryodome studio in Malmö, Sweden. On stage, he is accompanied by Andreas Ingefjord who manages keyboards and backing vocals. Cryo creates and performs electronic music. Much focus is put on heavy basslines and drums to create a repetitive, aggressive pattern throughout the music. On top of this foundation, melodies and vocals create variation, warmth and softness. Cryo is not an attempt to create popular music that will fit inside current trends and sell lots of records. It is targeted to a relatively small group of people with an open mind. Never sacrifice art for profit. Cryo is currently signed to the Swedish electronica label Progress Productions

So... we will let you in on a little secret. Together with our really good friend Claus Larsen in Leaether Strip we have done a split 7" vinyl. It´s quite a nice little gem where Claus does a cover of Cryo and we do a Leaether Strip cover. It has been sent of to pressing. We dont have an exact releasedate as of yet. But it will be a supercool release. Artwork was made by fantastic Ville Hising. Keep your eyes open for more information.
An era is over, but more to come... After many years of powerful collaboration, unforgettable shows, and musical exploration, Cryo announces that Torny will be leaving the band, focusing more on his other excellent band - Project X. This marks the end of a 20-year-long chapter. But it’s not the end of Cryo — rather, it will be reshaped into something new, built on the legacy of what Cryo has been until now. Torny’s contribution to Cryo has been nothing short of outstanding. As a key force on stage as well as his powerful vocals used in several tracks, Torny has been vital in shaping the band’s identity — delivering a level of energy par to none in this scene. His dedication, stage presence, and creative energy has been key to pushing Cryo to the level it is today. Together, we’ve shared countless incredible moments such as two fantastic and weird Russian tours as well as numerous European gigs at clubs and many of the greatest festivals. These memories and many more, will always stand as a testament to what we achieved together. With respect and gratitude for all you fans out there, you are what makes us love what we do! /Cryo
