For ten years, the hit string Quantett has developed from a spontaneous idea of some musicians from Aachen and surrounding area to a fixed size of the regional, nationwide and even the international music scene. The hit string Quantett plays instrumental acoustic music in the area of tension between gypsy swing, latin-pop, flamenco and rock music, consciously omitting the vocals. This inspiring, lively mix of music lets the fan base grow steadily and ensures, in addition to the musical recognition above all happy, good-humored listeners in countless concerts.
The first CD from 2012 with exclusively own compositions and arrangements followed at the beginning of the year 2015 the CD "Gypsy Punk", also consisting of own compositions, as well as a rousing guitar version of the Hungarian Dance No. 5 by Johannes Brahms. With the release of the CD "14-18-6 and …" in December 2017, the hit string Quantett is consistently on classic Gypsy swing as well as well-known South American compositions.
Almost inevitably, the hit string Quantett has been invited over the years to renowned festivals such as the Stramu in Würzburg, the Extraschicht in the Ruhr, the Port Festival Duisburg, the September Special Aachen, etc. A highlight for the band is the annual Hamburg Port Anniversary on which she made a name for herself through her performances in the Gypsy Lounge by Wolkly and Tornado Rosenberg. Especially here, the mixture of musical skill, paired with irrepressible joy of playing and winking humor proved to be a direct hit.
Concerts are always an experience for the audience. Striking Strings Quantett never seems to struggle to refill studio recordings at every concert, whether on big stages, pavements or in living rooms.
