Rage Against the Machine (also known as RATM or just Rage) is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in 1991, the group consists of rapper and vocalist Zack de la Rocha, bassist and backing vocalist Tim Commerford, guitarist Tom Morello, and drummer Brad Wilk. They draw inspiration from early heavy metal instrumentation, as well as hip hop acts such as Afrika Bambaataa, Public Enemy, the Beastie Boys, and Dutch crossover band Urban Dance Squad. Rage Against the Machine is well known for the members' leftist and revolutionary political views, which are expressed in many of the band's songs. As of 2010, they had sold over 16 million records worldwide.
In 1992, the band released its self-titled debut album, which became a commercial and critical success, leading to a slot in the 1993 Lollapalooza festival. In 2003, the album was ranked number 368 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. The band did not release a follow-up record until 1996, with Evil Empire. The band's third album, The Battle of Los Angeles, followed in 1999, and in 2003, the album was ranked number 426 on the same list. During their initial nine-year run, they became one of the most popular and influential bands in music history, according to music journalist Colin Devenish. They were also ranked No. 33 on VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock. The band had a large influence on the nu metal genre which came to prominence during the second half of the 1990s.
In 2000, the band released the cover album Renegades. The same year, growing tensions over the direction of the band prompted de la Rocha to quit, leading to the band's breakup. De la Rocha started a low-key solo career, while the rest of the band formed the rock supergroup Audioslave with Chris Cornell, then-former frontman of Soundgarden; Audioslave recorded three albums before disbanding in 2007. The same year, Rage Against the Machine announced a reunion and performed together for the first time in seven years at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April 2007. Up until 2011, the band continued to perform at more live venues and festivals around the world. As of 2012, the group has no plans to perform or release new music. In 2016, Morello, Commerford and Wilk formed a new band, Prophets of Rage, with Chuck D and B-Real.

Rage Against the Machine is the debut studio album by American rap metal band Rage Against the Machine. The album was released on November 3, 1992. It went to #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, and #45 on the Billboard 200 chart.
"Know Your Enemy" features Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan on "additional vocals", and also features Jane's Addiction drummer Stephen Perkins on trashcan percussion. Keenan has been known on occasion to appear onstage with the band to perform the song. The album cover features the self-immolation of Thích Quảng Đức that occurred on June 11, 1963.
Thank you again. Actually I own both the 1992 non-remastered original CD (great mastering) and the 2012 XX anniversary remaster (too loud remastering). I was interested in the audio-fidelity SACD high DR remaster (too expensive remaster :D). I will follow your former indications to do the conversion. Greetings.
Отличное звучание, не то что юбилейный ремастер 2012. Тут Audio Fidelity постарались на совесть. А вот "Angel Dust" Faith No More они испоганили дальше некуда:(
Вот такой Hi-Res действительно годный, в отличии от множества ремастеров в этом разделе, с DR сжатым в кирпич и забивающим всё остальное басом.
JRiver 22 никак не хочет играть этот образ. В настройках не нашел проблем. Буду признателен, если кто поделится как проиграть на JRiver без перегрануляций и реинкарнаций
72154808у меня играет на JRiver 22, правда на MacOS. какая карта у вас, она поддерживает DSD???
Карта в моем случае не задействована, ЦАП играет нативный DSD до х256 или DSD в формате DoP.
Проблема возникла первый раз, прослушано множество записей, тут отдельные треки в образе невидимы

I ask myself why did they opt for release this SACD on DST format instead of DSD since there are no multichanel tracks on it, just stereo. I've seen no other SACD like this.

Если просто ответить, то причина PCM volume: +6dB. Такое значение в большинстве случаев приводит к искажению звука, тк происходит банальный перегруз. Если ваша карта поддерживает DSD, то можете поставить следующие настройки: Output mode: DSD+PCM
PCM volume: +3dB (не более), LFE as-is
PCM samplerate: 176400 (больше нет смысла ставить)
DSD2PCM Mode: Multistage (64fp) (без среза на 30kHz, полезно для анализатора спектра, если используете) для вывода испольуйте драйвер [ DSD : ASIO : ваше устройство ] Звук, в данном случае, будет передаваться DSD-потоком (DoP) на карту минуя все плагины, громкость, итд, но при этом параллельно будет проходить PCM-поток через foobar, что позволит пользоваться плагинами и другими PCM-инструментами для анализа спектра, замером DR, итд... Само собой, эквалайзер и все остальные плагины в данном случае не будут воздействовать на звук потока DSD. Если карта не поддерживает DSD, то нет особого смысла пользоваться этим форматом в принципе. Но если очень хочется, либо же есть интересный ремастер, которого нет на CD или в HiRes, то настроить надо немного иначе: Output mode: PCM
PCM volume: +3dB (не более), LFE as-is
PCM samplerate: 88200 Hz либо 176400 Hz если очень хочется побольше
DSD2PCM Mode: Direct (64fp) 30kHz lowpass (когда надо, можно переключать на Multistage (64fp) для полного анализа спектра, хотя что там анализировать свыше 30kHz, разве что шум...) Представленный лог говорит о том, что при анализе был выставлен PCM volume: 0dB

Какой же охренительный альбом все таки, какой грув, подача, энергетика! Записан, сведен потрясающе и мастер/ремастер великолепный. Звучит как магнитная мастер-лента, супер!
Почему только первый трек воспроизводится?, фубаром.
Подумал с настройками, плагином, что то не так, но скачал аналогичную раздачу Hi-Res stereo, Evil Empire от severin_OK - все треки , нормально.
Собственно, в списке первый трек только один и появляется. разобрался, сам и отвечу. кроме foo_input_sacd, требуется наличие - DSDIFF декодера (components /foo_input_dsdiff), теперь все треки видны, проигрываются.
качество записи идеально! не поклонник творчества, но слушать хочется даже из-за качества записи, не говоря о том, что и само музло збс! пс непонятно, как современные миллионеры rammstein при их деньгах и возможностях так говено записали свой новый альбом...
i have read online that this steve hoffman mastered SACD is the best sounding for both vinyl and digital. the best vinyl version is the original US LP with masterdisk in the deadwax. this SACD sounds better than the original US LP
