Ewoud Vandenberghen was born in 1988 in Louvain, Belgium where he still resides today. From a young age he was allready very interested in music.
He discovered psychedelic music in 2005 and started producing some psychedelic ambient soon after. He also tried producing some goa back then but couldn't find the right sound and gave up. In 2008 after getting to know artists like Agneton and Filipe Santos, Ewoud finally found the sound he was looking for and started the project Persistent Aura.
His music is mostly influenced by old/newskool goatrance and nitzhonot. So this subgenre has been named nitzhogoa. This gives a good mix between the power and euphoria of nitzhonot melodies and goatrance psychedelia which makes it very good dancefloor material.
