Perfect Symmetry was formed as Symmetry at Pecs back in 1995, sported by Kusinka Tamas. They started playing quality progressive rock-metal. Since their favourite bands included Queensr?che, Fates Warning, Pink Floyd, Rush, Toto, and metal bands like Iron Maiden, Annihilator, or Testament, all of these influences are to be felt in their compositions. Symmetry is melodic, chorus oriented music but not without heavier riffs, using complex themes in many occasions. The first lineup was a four-piece consisting of Kusinka Tamas on guitars and vocals, Cselenyi Ferenc on guitars, Rem Laszlo on bass and Rozsa Balazs on drums. This lineup completed the first demo of the band in 1996, entitled Dream & Reality, which was preceded by a rehearsal room recording of 3 songs for themselves only, never to be released and distributed. The songs of the first demo were sung by Tamas, yet they were looking for the right voice, someone who can take the microphone and the place of the frontman. They tried Freilits Gabor “Giga” (ex-Halley, Algernon) and Kovacs Attila (ex-Myster) among others. Tanai Peter on keyboards arrived in 1997 , but the real change came along with Frisko Peter singer and Szkrobo Szabolcs joining the band in 1998. In the same year a second demo was released, entitled Morning, the title track of which is an important part of the set ever since. The industry was speaking of the material with exceptional recognition, some of which were calling the young band “Pecs Warning”. The recording made Symmetry the flagship of the underground progressive rock-metal scene of end-millenium Hungary, since the direction reminiscent of Fates Warning, Queensr?che, Psychotic Waltz, Pink Floyd finally became strong and some trademark-like features of Symmetry's style have entered. Szkrobo Szabolcs brought new dimensions to the music of Symmetry with his uniqely dynamic picking technique and funky playing, and the high pitched crystal-clear voice of Frisko Peter finally determined the sound of Symmetry. The organization of the Hungarian Progressive Rock/Metal Festival is introduced by Kusinka Tamas and Symmtery in 1996-97, which ever since provides a memory of a lifetime for music listeners attending. In 1999, several songs of the band were made their ways onto several Various Artists collection records. The first album was released under the name of Perfect Symmetry by Metal Hammer in 2001. The album entitled The Human Machine was reching 3. spot on Metal Hammer's famous Hangproba, a mothly competition of new releases. During this period, the band played many concerts, and the show got together really well. Club concerts, rock festivals, Sziget, EFOTT were coming one after the other, but the guys were happy playing even the smallest concerts in villages. This period is safe to be called the golden age of progressive metal music in Hungary! After the album's release Tanai Peter left the band, but life went on, and in 2002, fulfilling a honorable invitation, a cover version of The Evil That Men Do was released on an Iron Maiden Tribute recording. The next years found the band working hard, but constant lineup changes slowed things down. Szende Balazs took the place of Rozsa Balazs behind the drums, and the band had to experience disaster when Frisko Peter singer left the band, whose place was eventually taken by Sudar Anita (ex-Nighthawks, Far From Heaven, Megasztar). Meanwhile the music became more settled down, more simple and heavy. They were thinking about releasing the next album in Hungarian language a while, thus leaving English. Fans were uneasy upon hearing of this first, but in the end the change was a perfect choice. By 2006 the materiel of the new album was put together and slowly the actual recordings were happening. The band was joined by a new member in 2006, at last there is a new keyboardist in Perfect Symmetry in the person of Kovacs Peter. However the expectations were high for the new singer Anita, yet she and Perfect Symmetry parted ways and they were shortly facing the problem of looking for a new drummer, since Szende Balazs left. Following these events, a well-focused, consious and self-aware work finally resulted in the release of the second Perfect Symmetry album entitled “Szabad Akarat” (Free Will) by HammerWorld Magazine's own record label company, Nail Records. The songs were sung by Frisko Peter, however in some of the songs the voice of Sudar Anita can be also heard. Mester Balint became the new drummer, who also plays drums for the bands Virrasztok and Creep. The primary task is to find the right singer, whom with a new chapter is ready to begin in the life of the band...
