This 4-piece rock/metal band from ITALY is creating a personal way to music, taking inspiration from the "old" style of rock and metal transformed into something new and original. The prog-rock feelings, thrash punch in some riffs, the melodic atmospheres and clean lead vocals are the elements that combined together gives KOMADAY this unique style and sound. The song writing style is still growing and KOMADAY have already opened other frontiers of this art of music, drawing new elements and discovering new images. KOMADAY plays diverse styles of music even in a single song. Drawing a root for their inspiration it is not a simple job, but we could say that mainly bands like Metallica, Rush, Nevermore, Megadeth, King Crimson, Fates Warning and even Death could be detected along the way.
The debut album "Ghost And The Wiseman" has been mainly composed in the period from 2001 to 2003; with many other songs then waiting to be arranged and finished, KOMADAY in 2001 released the first demo with another singer (Andrea Evolti) and in a genre thrash-death, but they realised soon that the band needed a new fresh perspective in the sound, with more technique and melodic vocal lines and decided so to find a new frontman that leaved the three with no singer for nearly two years. In the period without vocalist, KOMADAY worked on new songs and riffs from where "Ghost And The Wiseman" has its origin.
When Antonio Pecere finished recording for the other CD project of SIGMA (Italian power-metal band) KOMADAY have been working hard to finish composing and then recording the seven songs you can find on the CD. With Antonio the band developed this new music style, a right mesh stitched between melody, aggressiveness, speed and technique, all mixed to create good emotional songs and not only a display of variety.
