Bobby Waller
Bobby Waller got his first gig in high school playing the part of Art Garfunkel in a Simon and Garfunkel tribute band. He is aware that this sounds made-up, and he kind of wishes it were. But we can't change the past, so Bobby played on. The year was 1983, and despite his natural proclivity for folk music, Bobby soon succumbed to the lure of punk rock. With one foot in the world of Pete Seeger and the other in the world of Black Flag, Bobby felt decidedly conflicted, until 1985, when the Pogues combined Irish folk instrumentation with punk intensity in their debut album, Rum, Sodomy, and the Lash. Since then, Bobby has sung and played guitar in both Irish punk bands and Irish pub acts.
Linda Easton
Linda Easton started her musical career by ordering the Davey Jones Easy Tambourine Method DVD after watching a late-night infomercial. The DVD gathered dust on the shelf until one day, her friend and long-time partner, Bobby Waller, asked her to play with Stout Rebellion. After two whole hours of intense study and grueling practice, Linda was ready. Now, as an accomplished player, her dream is to someday tour with the Partridge Family and be inducted into the Tambourine Hall of Fame. In addition to playing the tambourine, Linda shakes her groove thing, sings, drinks, and hands out beads and prizes. She has been proclaimed Stout Rebellion's "Minister of Fun."
Eve Kuffner
Eve spent seven years as a street performer in Europe, earning her living playing accordion music from around the globe. Until recently, she lived in New Orleans where she performed with The Zydepunks,
Loose Marbles and local productions of "Fiddler on the Roof" and "Cabaret". She is currently earning her Ph.D. at UC Davis.
James Wilson
James "Shameless Seamus" Wilson plays mandolin and tin whistle in Stout Rebellion. His father, Jim, was a traditional Irish accordion player from Ballina, County Mayo, and his mother, Patricia, hailes from Dublin. James also plays mandolin, whistle, and tenor banjo for Sacramento's Whiskey and Stitches and previously played in Poitin and Stout out of Corvallis, Oregon. He can, on occasion, be heard playing solo guitar and dabbles with flute, bouzouki, melodeon (button accordion), kitchen pipes (like Scottish Highland pipes, but quieter), and whatever else he can find. Chuck Jamison
Chuck's roots run deep in the Northern California Celtic community. In addition to playing the bodhran, djimbe and and bagpipes with Stout Rebellion, he is a member of the Caledonian Club of Sacramento, Clan Gunn of Northern California and the Saint Andrews Society of Sacramento. In addition, Chuck is involved in troop support efforts and has played the pipes to honor veterans and hundreds of military funerals. And if all of these things didn't make Chuck interesting enough, he's also involved in Japanese Tea Ceremonies. Greg Cox
"Groovy Greg" Cox is an anesthesiologist by trade, but, after a day of putting people to sleep, he's ready to wake 'em up with the bounciest bass lines this side of the Cliffs of Dover. Greg is a former member of Off Celter, a Sacramento-based Irish fusion band, and has played in bands ranging in style from reggae to blues to Irish punk.
