Из рецензий на альбом:Их четвертая пластинка «Wunderkammer» – образец безумной и зажигательной эклектики. Диск открывается похоронной версией песни Siouxsie & The Banshees «Trust In Me», потом сразу взрывается психобили «Old Pine Box», которое уже спешит вытеснить ретро-свинг. В общем, для того, чтобы как можно более полно представить себе стилистическое разнообразие альбома « Wunderkammer», послушайте сразу четыре трека с него. Первый – «Old Pine Box», второй – балаганный джаз в духе Tiger Lillies, третий – арабская фантазия и четвёртый – форменный Том Уэйтс. "Records to ruin any party"...it is not an easy listen but it really grows on you. The band is based in Geneva.They describe their style as "Funeral Orchestra Mission". They helpfully suggest that it is a mixture of Gypsy music, Django Gypsy jazz, rock 'n' roll and country. The first thing that comes to mind was a mixture of Vaudeville style music hall, blues, and what really sums it up is the phrase "gothic jazz/blues." There is the most bizarre mixture of song styles, instruments, banjo, trombone, steel drums, lap steel guitars, accordion, Indian prayer box, tuba, French horn. Then there are the various vocal styles, mellow, strangled, mournful and whispered. Rhythms vary from Greek swing, Waltz, shuffles and rock beats. There are songs in English, French and German.

Швейцарскую группу The Dead Brothers правильнее было бы назвать театральной труппой, настолько из выступления не похожи на обычные «концерты». Облаченные в немыслимые костюмы, непременно использующие декорации, они предлагают публике немецкие польки и ново-орлеанский блюз, неаполитанские фолк-страдания и самые что ни на есть настоящие похоронные марши. И в этом нет ничего удивительного, если повнимательнее присмотреться к прошлому музыкантов - аккордеонист и гитарист Пьер Омер подвизался некогда в берлинских кабаре, Жан-Филипп Жейзе и Кристоф Жанте работали в различных театрах, джазовых коллективах и даже цирках. Вокалист Алан Крубальян с середины 80х годов прошлого века сотрудничал с женевским панк-н-ролльным образованием Maniacs. Они исполняют песни легендарной испанки Консуэло Веласкес и кантри-легенды Хэнка Уильямса, «Cramps» и «Stranglers», а так же опусы собственного сочинения, навеянные музыкой кажунов, цыган, средневековых трубадуров и джазменов начала 20-го века. Нынче в арсенале команды две трубы, аккордеон, тромбон, электрогитара, горн, барабаны, банджо, охотничий рожок,металлофон, горшки, кастрюли и внушительных размеров мегафон.
Для записи дебютной пластинки музыканты выбрали не слишком привычное место - амбарчик в Сен-Круа, куда, довольствуясь малым, поставили одинокий микрофон. Записанное доводили до ума в знаменитой некогда Spooky Sound Studio в Цюрихе, где в 60е годы композиторами Диблитцем и Маэши штамповались саундтрэки к швейцарско-немецким сериалам. And it’s the White Album for Voodoo Rhythm as well… the Dead Brothers origin from Geneva in Switzerland mix up gipsy music with swing Django Gipsy jazz Rock’n’Roll and Country and and and . just a crazy mixture of every thing and played in a strange weird way… Something like 7 years ago the Dead Brothers starting going on this Funeral Orchestra Mission and I started to put out their records. With the first record ‘Dead Music for Dead People’ everybody was shocked but the Stone started to Roll then the second Record ‘day of the dead’ was a bit a strange record but people started to open their ears and on the 3rd record they did a movie soundtrack for the Tattoo Legend Herbert Hofmann ‘flamend herz’ who had not one vocal track on it…. And now in those 7 years it went up and down like a rollercoaster they went to Heaven and they went to Hell as well they almost split up then they did another European tour ,played Jazz Festifal Montreux, did England a several times and and and… then they went to Bob Drake a American Country Outsider who has a farm in the South of France and he records with his primitive Equipment the new Album of the DEAD BROTHERS and this Record is the Shit, it’s incredible how they worked together and for the first time in Band history you hear the Characters of the Whole band and believe me they are strange characters… But anyway this is THEE Dead Brothers Album at the Moment and with TRUST IN ME they even have a ‘real’ Hit Song on it.. on Greek Swing you here Pierre’s fantastic Guitar playing and on Time has Gone Delany’s ultra desperate Voice.. Fred is a Homage on Fred Stutz their former Tuba Player.. and on every Song is the Fucked up and Schizophrenic vocals of Dead Alain and the incredible Trumpet of Christoph Garnert

Ай спасибо! Таки появился Voodoo Rhtyhm...Мне из последнего еще Urban Junior очень доставил,тема правда другая немного One men band, но по духу близко. А совсем близко вот они Movie Star Junkies
Слушайте, Trust in Me - это вовсе не песня Siouxsie & The Banshees, это старый-старый стандарт, первый раз прозвучавший в диснеевской "Книге Джунглей".
Для этого что ли, товарищ Ленин, влезая на броневик,
придётся остальные качать.
