ANGELI FUKUSHIMA DUO is a new project of the italian guitarist Paolo Angeli and the japanese violin player and singer Takumi Fukushima. Songs, impro music, noise are only some adjective to descrive the caracter of the duo. A freedom that move out from their own tradition and give birth to unic, strong synthesis of language spoken in a imaginary land between Sardinia and Japan.
Their instruments, (sardinian prepared guitar and violin) are mainly bowed and producing a tessiture, a background for their voices. Takumi played with the sensational After Dinner - first japanese band to play in the european and american innovative scene - with Volapük and she already work on music for dance. Paolo played with Hamid Drake, Fred Frith, Jon Rose, Evan Parker and more...
