I don't even remember how I stumbled upon them in Beatport but I think it might have been through Paul Miller, but thats not the point. My first release from them was Stratosphere by Trance Arts which is still one of my favourite tracks. The quality of Unearthed's releases has always been high and remain true and unique to themselves. They have never failed to disapoint and in every single release there is a mix I enjoy. They are doing a great job in discovering new artists all the time and giving them the proper promotion they need. Another thing I really noticed was the great covers they provide for each of their releases and it makes owning them that much more enjoyable. Unearthed Records also has 3 sub-labels that also retain the core values of what they have started. The Unearthed Red imprint always has top quality stuff and follows a generally constant uplifting pattern. Crystal Source Recordings generally seems to be the training ground for the newest producers on teh Unearthed line-up, but that doesn't mean the releases are junk. The newest sub-label Unearthed Sublimal is on release number 3 and is going the be hosting all of the more progressive productions, so far in my opinion they have disppointed. So to sum things up if you are looking for some top-quality banging trance please check out all of these releases as they are really high quality and will provide something for everyone. Hopefully these never stop and there will be much more to experience from this great label.

Unearthed Records is a record label based in Newcastle upon Tyne, England primarily focused on trance music. Unearthed was formed in early 2008 when owners Chris & Luke ended up discussing how a lot of tracks which featured in Luke's DJ sets at the time, causing serious dance floor damage, were actually unsigned. Unearthed was then created with the aim of helping undiscovered producers to the scene, delivering epic, melodic, driving trance. Unearthed took off quicker than anyone could actually imagine. With over 50 artists featuring on the label in the first year, the label has surpassed everyone's expectations. With non-stop quality releases, the support has been massive, with support from every trance DJ under the sun and many others! With the label growing so rapidly, in the spring of 2009 Unearthed Red was launched. Red was formed for artists who have already created a name on the Unearthed imprint. This left Unearthed Records free to concentrate on pushing the newer exciting talent coming into the scene. With the label growing every week Unearthed Records took over Crystal Source Recordings in August 2009. Formerly owned by Paul Miller, operating as sub-label to Unearthed, Crystal Source will carry on pushing the sound it always has whilst retaining the Unearthed mentality of continued support of fresh artists in the scene. Coming very soon is Unearthed Subliminal. Subliminal will be focused towards the more progressive side of the music. Unearthed and Red will concentrate on the uplifting sounds, which everyone has to come to expect from labels. The launch of Subliminal will be early 2010, which is something certainly worth looking forward to. With support from the likes of Ferry Corsten, Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren (Tune of the Week on ASOT), Tiesto, Judge Jules, Above & Beyond and many many more, we are hoping 2010 will be an even bigger year from this rapidly establishing record label group.
