PARAGRAF 119 was a Danish crust'y hardcore anarcho-punk band centered around "Ungdomshuset" (The Youth House) at Jagtvej 69 in Copenhagen (evicted in 2007). The band existed from 1999 until 2003. The band's name "Paragraf 119" refers to a Danish law regarding "Violence committed against a government official in function" (e.g. a policeman). They are one of the most popular bands coming out of the Danish second wave of punk in the late 90s (the first being the contemporary punk-wave in the late 70s and 80s).
The lyrics are exclusively expressing the bands discontempt with society, politics, police, peoples general uncaring behavior, multinational corporations exploitation etc. - all expressed very explosively in the bands songs. Paragraf 119 gigged with most of the best Danish punk-bands of the era and toured outside Denmark as well. The band released three vinyl records (look to your left) and have been included on various punk-compilations until this date..
