Группу God часто ставят рядом с проектом Justin'а Broadrick'а Godflesh и даже называют сайд-проектом последней, однако, музыкально они достаточно далеко стоят. Да и Кевин Мартин (насколько я знаком с его творчеством) никогда больше не делал подобного.
Loco — первый полноразмерный диск группы (до этого был выпущен только EP Breach Birth 1990 года). Альбом был записан живьем в церкви Святой Марии.
Conceived in 1987 by saxophonist and prolific experimentalist Kevin Martin with guitarist Shane Rogan, although without a formal line-up until after their 1990 debut EP "Breach Birth." Numerous releases by the congealed nine-piece over the next four years explored dark fusions of punk, industrial, electro, free jazz and ambient dub.
This release was recorded live at St. Mary's Church, and features Justin Broadrick (Godflesh) playing guitar, who then went on to produced the record as well.

Ever sit back and wonder what seemingly disparate bands would sound like if they got together to record an album. If early Black Sabbath joined forces with the Rova Saxophone Quartet, then their devilish prodigy may have been God. Slow heavy rythyms interwoven with frenetic sax lines and the rare gutteral vocal. Never would have guessed by the recording and performance quality that it was recorded live. From what I can tell, none of these songs (except for Fucked) are available elsewhere. The album is produced by Justin Broadrick of Godflesh.
