об альбоме
"Nginguk & Sopo Ingsun" is a raw, immersive sonic journey from Indonesian experimentalist, instrument builder Wukir Suryadi, co-founder of the iconoclastic duo Senyawa. This full-length CD combines two complementary EPs: "Nginguk", the meditative recording during a live performance in 2018, mastered by Michal "Neithan" Kielbasa (monitor engineer of Mayhem & live sound engineer of Tormentor), and "Sopo Ingsun", a selection of improvisation recordings between August and December 2023, mastered by our trusted long-time friend Thomas Stadnicki. Wukir's custom-crafted instruments are the towering hybrids of strings and percussion. Designed to be both melodic and percussive, they embody a ritualistic intensity that channels raw sound into something elemental. His performances are instinctual, yet steeped in spiritual depth. His music drifts beyond the sensory realm, evoking inner landscapes shaped by personal emotions and unspoken recognition of ancestral murmurs. If "Nginguk" lingers outward in a dense and watchful atmosphere, like an unseen presence stirring at the edge of perception, then "Sopo Ingsun" erupts inward, feral and fractured, tearing through the veil of form with instinctive violence. One envelops; the other cuts. Together, they trace a ritual arc across the boundaries of self and sound, body and shadow. The sound begins to dissolve, as a meditation on the origin of the self, between who I am and a glance beyond. In the space between human instinct and silence, the boundaries of identity begin to blur. A convergence of the primal gaze, toward an unknown state of being.
