В продолжении все персонажи не изменились: Эл по-прежнему остаётся безработным, Джейн всё ещё хочет карьеры в шоу-бизнесе для своего парня Стива, Стив и Сеймур по-прежнему остаются напарниками, а Ирма всё ещё Ирма, и это не так просто. Эл устраивает Стива на работу певцом на телевидении, где его замечает голливудский продюсер. Он подписывает Стива на долгосрочный контракт на съёмки в фильме, и вся команда отправляется в Голливуд. Но, увы, продюсер оказывается сбежавшим психом, и они попадают в Лас-Вегас, где Ирму похищают гангстеры, которым Ирма очень досаждает.
