Akiko Yano and Hiromi Uehara continue to be active worldwide with the piano. They first appeared together on a TV music program in 2004, hit it off, and began interacting both professionally and privately. Since then, they have performed together at festivals both domestically and internationally, and on each other’s album recordings.
This work was recorded at the recording live “Akiko Yano x Hiromi Uehara Recording Live in Tokyo ~Step Into Paradise~” held at the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall on September 24th and 25th. This will be the duo’s third live album together, following 2011’s “Get Together -LIVE IN TOKYO-” and 2017’s “Ramen na Onna Tachi -LIVE IN TOKYO-“.
The work includes 8 songs according to the live set list, and Uehara was in charge of the arrangement except for one song. It includes performances unique to this duo, including their original songs as well as mash-ups of famous Japanese and Western music that transcend genres and eras. A new arranged version of “Ramen Tabetai”, one of Yano’s signature songs, will also be included.
