La fusión de sonidos y ritmos ha sido el escenario donde Damaris ha desarrollado su carrera musical como cantante, compositora y productora musical. Su música se inspira en la tradición musical latinoamericana y en la búsqueda por tender puentes con nuevas formas musicales. Damaris es hasta hoy la artista peruana más joven en ser nominada a los Grammys Latinos, a los 22 años en la categoría de mejor álbum folk. Con su canción “Tusuykusun” (Bailemos) se convirtió en la primera artista en ganar el "Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar" con una canción en quechua. Su disco “Mil Caminos” ha sido el primero, con canciones en quechua y géneros musicales del ande peruano, en ser nominado a los Grammys Latinos como mejor album folk. En mayo del 2024 lanzara su disco en vivo “Yanantin” donde recopila lo mejor de sus 20 años de carrera artística.
Damaris is a singer, songwriter, performer and music producer. Her music is inspired by the Latin American musical traditions. She is the youngest Peruvian artist to be nominated for the Latin Grammys, at 22 years old. With her song “Tusuykusun” she became the first artist to win the "Viña del Mar International Song Festival" with a song in Quechua. Her album “Mil Caminos” was the first, with songs in Quechua and musical genres from the Peruvian Andes, to be nominated for the Latin Grammys as best folk album. In May 2024 she will release her live album “Yanantin” where she compiles the best of her 20-year artistic career.
