Не работает для меня. Когда я пытаюсь открыть старый проект, или открыть какой-нибудь пример. Просит конвертировать проект в новый формат но при конвертации программа просто закрывается.

Знаете ли вы разницу между Gamemaker этого раздача и тем, который можно официально скачать?
У меня эта раздача сработала, но она мне не нужна, если официальная загрузка бесплатна!
