Grey-headed albatross chicks battle for survival in the harsh gales of South Georgia, while southern right whales slowly recover from almost total annihilation at the hands of the whaling industry, and Gentoo penguins face a dangerous trek across uneven ice where leopard seals dwell. There is still hope for this ice-bound continent; thousands of penguins, seals, albatross, and over a hundred great whales feast on krill baitballs, whilst below the ice on the sea floor, an entire ecosystem of sea anemones, starfish, nudibranches, jellyfish and giant nematode worms live out their lives in the icy depths.

Walrus gather in huge numbers in the frozen north, only to risk falling to their deaths after climbing sea cliffs to escape polar bears. This is a world of the rarely seen, from yeti-like monkeys in the mountain forests of China to the most bizarre predator in the baking Lut desert in Iran, the spider-tailed horned viper, which camouflages itself against the rocks, then tricks migrating birds into going after its specialised tail. In Northern India two male Sarada lizards compete to mate with a female. Asia is the largest of all continents but it seems there’s not enough space for wildlife, as humans are decimating Indonesia to create vast oil palm plantations. The deep jungles provide sanctuary for the last few Sumatran rhino, who are among the species being threatened by this activity the most and have been walled in for their own safety against poachers and loggers. However, human kindness also exists in the south-east, as fishermen regularly help groups of whale sharks by supplying them with some of their catch, in spite of the gigantic fish being worth a fortune in meat.

Хорошая документалка. Спасибо за раздачу. Но последние 10 минут каждого видео советую скипать, ибо начинается левацкая пропаганда глобальных потеплений, гринписов и всего антицивильного. Это ни в коем случае не образовательно, будьте бдительны.

Левацкая пропаганда? Я бы не был так уверен в этом. Живём на одной планете и человек, как "царь" природы, может как сохранить, так и погубить её. Пропаганды я в этом не вижу, если говорят о том, что важно для каждого. И это не высокопарное словцо. Если мы чего-то не видим, не значит что этого нет. Пишу не с целью затеять спор или ещё что. Захотел поделиться другой точкой зрения на этот счёт. Всем добра и смотрите побольше таких прекрасных фильмов. Ещё порекомендую из этой тематики, что смотрел: Планета Земля 1 и 2, Голубая планета 1 и 2, Один потрясающий день. Все фильмы от BBC.
Все серии "Планеты" очень впечатляют! Пересматривала некоторые эпизоды не один раз. Очень жду фильм про работу Дэвида Аттенборо начиная с юности, правда, не могу вспомнить, как он называется. Советую к просмотру всем. Именно после просмотра этих серий изменила к лучшему многие свои привычки.
На самом деле Аттенборо черезчур оптимистичен в своих высказываниях либо просто не договаривает чего-то. Он утверждает, что всё ещё можно обернуть вспять .
Я тоже не люблю, когда мне пытаются кулаками давить на слезные каналы. Но мне это не показалось пропагандой, просто эмоции съемочной группы. Пропаганда, причем агрессивная и оттого еще мерзче, это даунесса Тунберг. Да и ВВС вроде бы за пропагандонством не замечены. А кино хорошее, красиво снято, Аттенборо люблю с детства, тут он уже совсем старенький И озвучка отличная, мне понравилась от FocusX (вот бы этот чтец озвучивал аудиокниги, эхх, я бы их все переслушала).

Любой док фильм - это набор картинок с комментариями. Какого, что называется, х, надо еще?

И озвучка отличная, мне понравилась от FocusX (вот бы этот чтец озвучивал аудиокниги, эхх, я бы их все переслушала).
