TRAVELLER is the new project of Nashville based photographer Mikaela Hamilton Steinwedell & Amanda Bantug. Steinwedell & Bantug met while serving tables at a local breakfast restaurant. Although most would not initially pair the two together, Steinwedell being heavily influenced by folk music & Bantug by rock, their differences managed to blend harmoniously & create an eclectic combination of music. Their debut EP ‘Home’ is a mix of darker folk sounds, with emotive harmonies that are carried by drum heavy rhythms. Although the music is written from Steinwedell & Bantug’s perspectives of their own physical & emotional “travellings” through life, their hope is that these songs resonate with their listener’s own personal journeys. Because ultimately, we are all Travellers.
