Об альбоме (сборнике)
Пожалуй единственный такой отличный альбом Тима Хаттона. Кислый, глубокий, красочные грустные песни - ночная осень, зимние вечера. Ностальгия!
Tim Hutton’s had a varied and unique career, with releases on labels as diametrically opposed as Rephlex and Nuphonic. His latest incarnation – the album EVERYTHING under his own name -- shows his songwriting side, vaguely folksy, but with a definitely trip-hop vibe. “Been a Fool” is immediately catchy with its easygoing rhythm and vocal insistence on romantic idiocy, while “Didn’t I Say” and “Fall” put in some acoustic guitar in true troubadour style (though there might be a little too much of it on “Eugene”). The bluesy horns that kick off “Colours” hint at the acid jazz vibe to follow soon thereafter, while “Everything” starts out stark, with strings slowly filtering through and bits of “My Funny Valentine” floating in the mix. Tim Hutton, a musical chameleon, finds another skin, and it fits.
