Allan Cowie, ныне известный как LM1, ранее выпускал транс-музыку под псевдонимом Red Devil на английских лейблах Choo-Choo и Covert Operations, где у него вышли пластинки в 1998-2002 годах. Однако вскоре после этого его увлекло техмосферик звучание драмэндбейса, и прежде всего — звучание ставшего уже легендой лейбла Covert Operations, владельцем которого являлся небезызвестный американский продюсер ASC (не путайте эти 2 лейбла). Закрывшись в студии и экспериментируя с новыми для него ломаными барабанными линиями, Allan находит своё уникальное звучание, и в 2008 году композиция 'Ambient Traveller' появляется на сборнике 'Global Connections 4'. Позднее треки LM1 входят в 5 и 6ю части компиляции, параллельно выходят релизы на Levitated, Red Mist, Golden Orb и Binary Soul.
Однако в 2009 году ASC принимает решение закрыть Covert Operations до лучших времён, а скорее всего навсегда. Подписанные на лейбл треки ввиду узкости техмосферик сцены некоторое время оставались без внимания владельцев других лейблов. В то же время Allan заключил контракты с такими топовыми импринтами как Dispatch, Outsider и Vibez на выпуск CD и винила, а также получал мощную диджей-поддержку от интернет-радиостанции Bassdrive.
Таким образом, уже достаточно громко заявив о себе, LM1 решает запустить собственный импринт — Offworld Recordings для выпуска космического драмэндбейса как от уже состоявшихся воротил сцены, так и от новых многообещающих музыкантов.
Первым релизом лейбла стала EP под названием 'Blue Mountain' от LM1, включившая в себя треки, которые должны были выйти на Covert Operations: 'Reneissance', 'Frontier', 'Season Of Descent' и 'Blue Mountain'.
