Об исполнителе (группе)
The italian band PERPETUAL FIRE was formed in 1999 around vocalist Steve Volta (Pandaemonium) which wanted to start a band that would mix influences from Yngwie J. Malmsteens Rising Force with influences from power-metal bands like Stratovarius, Angra and Symphony X... I guess you have a little idea now of how the style sounds like... For sure quality is here, strong musicianship again, very good vocals, layers of keyboards and kinda happy choruses... which are not always my cup of tea hehe... but objectively, this is another high-quality album delivering brilliant heavy-power metal in the european style that will please for sure fans of the bands named before and some others like Freedom Call or Heavenly... but saying this is another groundbreaking album would not be fair in my opinion, there's nothing really new here (which ain't necessarily bad), but when I listen to "Invisible", it's like I have heard the songs before, no real surprises, again, i'd say it is predictable for most of the songs... What I mean is simple, this is a very enjoyable heavy-power metal album (and just perfect if you want to have over-an-hour of quality metal in your ears - 16 songs !) but I don't think it can get out the pile of the thousand albums released in the same genre... which sucks because the efforts made are obvious and the arrangements really great ! But I'm sure if you're into european power/heavy-metal, you can check out "Invisible", you'll enjoy it for sure.
