Книги достаточно интересные. Жаль, что известное пособие по хирургии Дж.Догерти представлено в формате .chm. Не могу найти программу, которая бы его открывала, и насколько мне известно, такая проблема знакома многим. Неужели электронную книгу покупать, чтобы только прочесть вашу замечательную раздачу (проще уж на Амазоне заказать). Посоветуйте, пожалуйста, какое-нибудь решение (только не давайте ссылки на такие сайты, куда просто страшно заходить, а не только что скачивать что-то).

Если у Вас CHM не открывается, попробуйте это:

2. Click Unblock.

С помощью 7 Zip можно разархивировать, получится просто HTML
Вам нужен Calibre, взять можно тут: calibre-ebook.com.
Однако качество конвертации среднее (особенно если исходник -- картинка). Для сплошного текста подойдет, с таблицами и картинками тяжелее. Более трудозатратный вариант -- ABBYY FineReader.
У меня Sony Reader, я с ним давно уже мучаюсь, и в последнее время просто режу страницы на половинки и четвертинки в PDF (подгоняю под размер экрана), так проще получается и вполне читабельно.

Ребята, все-таки люблю я нашу Родину, здесь такие люди живут! Ну где такое на Западе встретишь? Только the pirate bay.com разве что... Это я про бесплатные раздачи дороженных книг.
