У меня немного просаживается на 560й на станциях и при непосредственном глядении на системное светило.
Виновником оказалась надстройка Screenspace reflections. выкрут на минималку/отключение почти лечит сие.

На шедевр не тянет, уж слишком часто натыкаешься на баги и недоработки. Благо, save/load спасает.
Но на должность пожирателя времени кандидат достойный.

И ещё вопрос: Если скачивать русскую локаль, то Split Vendetta старой версии (x4_foundations_split_vendetta_3_10_37428.sh), а если качать английскую локаль, то свежая. Английская и русская версии не конфликтуют между собой?

Озвучка в файлах отдельна, в принципе должно работать, но тут разработчикам лучше знать, может там в озвучке метки какие по времени и т. п. По идее они лишь логику в самой игре фиксят в новых версиях, но мало ли.

Вот блин, не прошел номер скачать английскую версию и в lang.dat сменить язык интерфейса на русский. Интерфейс становится русским, но звук диалогов не воспроизводится вообще. А я надеялся на английский звук с русским интерфейсом

ни у кого на последней версии не начались периодические вылеты?
Вобщем непонятно почему у меня вылетают сегфолты
вот что последнее выдает лог на новой игре без модов
куда копать хз - в тырнетах жалоб на внезапные сегфолты нет
единственный случай на оф форуме который был на 3.10, как оказалось сработал изза переполнения диска логфайлом дебагера, но у меня автолог не ведется

Читать описание: Запускать игру можно так же.
И после установки, если выбрано в её ходе, появляется пункт в меню приложений и/или файл запуска игры на рабочем столе.

Может кто-нибудь подсказать как переключить видеокарту со встроенной на дискретную? В самой игре это сделать не получается - он ее не видит. Недавно только переустановлял. Kubuntu 20. До этого в стелларис играл - там никаких проблем с видюхой не было.

Так может не сработать, потому что самой видюхи в ОС не будет без той опции, что выше указал. От версии ядра зависит, на LTS-ном ядре работало у меня, но производительность была хуже намного, чем с опцией.

Хрюнделёк, мне не проверить, у меня единственная видяшка. Когда отвечал, твоего ответа ещё не видел, просто попытался помочь человеку.
У себя попробовал, добавил в ~/.config/EgoSoft/X4/config.xml, в раздел ROOT строчку <gpu>2</gpu> и запустил игру, ожидая, что она вылетит с ненайденным видеоадаптером. Но ничего не случилось, игра стартовала. Так что, может быть, это переключение вообще только на винде и работает.. .

В том и дело, что у меня на ноуте без того параметра ядра, что указывай, что не указывай в DRI_PRIME, всё по барабану, запускается только на встроенной. А если с опцией, то работает исправно — DRI_PRIME=1 на внешней, и с 0 соответственно на встройке.

Изменил в /etc/default/grub строчку на
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash nvidia-drm.modeset=1"
(если честно, я не особо разобрался почему именно эту строчку я вставляю) потом

и перезагрузил ноут.

Из первого поста, как я понял, запуск был на AMD. Надо сразу было сообщать, что NVIDIA.
Тогда так:
- NVIDIA Prime Render Offload
- Bumblebee
И игра работает через вулкан, т. е. нужны дополнительно к блобу (проприетарному драйверу NVIDIA) пакеты а-ля "*vulkan*".
Хотя, скорее всего, в NVIDIA-драйвере всё скопом идёт и не надо всякие mesa-vulkan и т. п. устанавливать.

В версии 3.30 исправили зависимость от старых ssl-библиотек, теперь на 20й *убунте работает прекрасно, сразу после установки, без плясок и бубнов.
В ожидании нового DLC и 4й версии:
Помимо новых графических плюшек, будет куча геймплейных нововведений, в том числе и терраформинг. Интересно, на сами планеты пустят?)

Нет, на планеты не пустят, немцы об этом сразу предупредили.
Скорее всего, будет обычный набор заданий "натаскать разных грузов и побольше"; по выполнению, imho, покажут ролик изменения внешнего вида планеты. Ну, может, ещё благодетелем назовут).
