Don’t Cry Now, her first album for Asylum was released in 1973 and would help solidify Ronstadt as one of the premiere female pop vocalists for the next two decades. This is one of the most exceptional-sounding female vocalist recordings of the 1970's.Sound quality from MSFL’s 24 Kt. UltraDisc II Limited Edition Red Book CD is nothing short of spectacular. Of course I’d have preferred they released it as one of their superb SACD discs, but beggars can’t always be choosers, now, can we? Linda’s CD catalog has long been due a remastering overhaul, and this disc finally offers the kind of sound her other classic releases deserve. Maybe MFSL will get ambitious and tackle a few other titles – but for now, enjoy this splendid release. Oh, and the packaging of the limited edition is really nice, in a Japanese-import style mini-LP gatefold sleeve. Well worth the money, and very highly recommended!- Tom Gibbs
