Об исполнителе (группе)
We the Kings – поп-панк группа из маленького городка Брадентон, штат Флорида, США.
Впервые они встретились ещё в средней школе Марты Б. Кинг. Четвёрка музыкантов – друзья с детства (название группы ссылается на название их школьного талисмана): вокалист и гитарист Трэвис Кларк, гитарист Хантер Томсен, его брат – басист Дрю Томсен и барабанщик Дэнни Дункан. В 2007 году, с помощью менеджера Брета Дисенда, всё ещё подростковый квартет поместил несколько треков на сайте – социальной сети «Purevolume», чтобы, будучи ещё неподписанными на лейбл, заявить о себе в Интернете. В это же время заключался контракт с инди-лейблом от EMI – «S-Curve Records» (Joss Stone, Fountains of Wayne, The Baha Men).
Одноимённый альбом спродюссировал Сэм Холландер, микширование сделал Лу Джиордано, – они оба работали с фаворитами чартов того времени – Gym Class Heroes и Plain White T’s.
