From Built On A Weak Spot
"I have a bunch of stickers of these guys laying around my desk, which I tend to forget about until company comes over and I fail to realize that stickers proudly stating “fuck god, believe in cunt” are glaringly right in the open. Kind of hard to explain that to folks. Nevertheless, I’ve been meaning to say something about these French delinquents for awhile now, as this EP came out last year through Rejuvenation Records in conjunction with a myriad of fellow labels. For a band that has a clearly went all in on the shock approach of the sexually offensive, the music is actually pretty rockin’ in an Unsane if they were complete perverts way. Despite the imagery, Ultracoït keep a good balance between letting the music kind of dictate things while still being able to dawn gleeful smiles from things like being able interject samples of a woman reaching orgasm in the background of their low end pummel. Pretty solid noise, which is certainly not an uncommon deal from the French at this point. If you really dig porn, then I imagine it’s even better!"
