Fretless Bass Collection This CD-set contains about 1,5 GB samples of a Warwick (TM) Corvette Fretless Bass in the giga-format. Every string has been recorded chormatically up to the 15th fret (exception: G-string up to 21st fret). Additionally, every
sampled note is available as 32 different samples (multisamples) sorted by volume (1 = loud attack, 32 = quiet attack)
to provide a dynamic range that sounds very realistic. Additionally, notes in the same octave will be doubled, because they occur twice after the 4th fret of a string (e.g. A1 on the E-string and A1 on the A-string). Now it`s up to you which string's notes you prefer! You can also start from scratch by using our "light" file,
which is only about 90 mb in size, just to get started. In case you don`t want to think about which notes from which strings to use, we already created a "compact" file which includes a fully working combination of tones to start initially. To use the .gig files, you need a .zip-extracting programme, such as "winzip" (TM), available at www.winzip.com, for example. The files were compressed because of their size. the samples should be copied to a harddisk. It is recommended to use a fast harddisk (for further information see the recommandations of your host software). The samples are not finally mastered and have been recorded with Roland converters. Without a final mastering, you can use them easily in your mix wuthout having an "overproduced" sound when mastering your music. Additionally, your bass tracks won't sound "too perfect" in a raw mix in contrast to the other instruments. Recording & Production: Nicolay Ketterer.
