Mischa van de Bilt, он же MAV, родился 4-ого марта 1979 года в бельгийском городке Локерен. С детства он вместе с семьей путешествовал по Европе. Жили в Германии, Австрии, Бельгии, Швейцарии и в итоге остановились на Голландии, как на месте своего постоянного проживания. Уже в 11 лет Mav стал проявлять интерес к написанию электронной музыки. Этому во многом поспособствовало его знакомство с трекерами Modedit, Fasttracker, Madtracker, и наконец, Buzz – программа, которой он иногда пользуется и по сей день. Прослушав и исследовав большое количество электронных жанров, он открыл для себя drum’n’bass/jungle музыку. Его зацепило и уже давно не отпускает. Это было в 1998 году. Тогда Mav был основателем довольно известной трекинг-группы и одновременно бесплатного Интернет лейбла BMP (Blacktron Music Productions) (конечно это не интеренет-лейбл в теперешнем понимании, тогда это был всего-навсего бесплатный обмен треками посредством форумо-подобных сетей «BBS»). Теперь уже, его детищем является голландский лейбл и по совместительству драмнбэйс сообщество Scientific (www.scientific.nl). В него входят такие музыканты как ASC, Mav, Intersidereal (наши русские парни), Resound, Deepflow и другие музыканты делающие неординарную музыку. Помимо этого, Mav работает с такими лейблами как Covert Operations, Fokuz, Citrus, Offshore, Vibez, Camino Blue, Warm Communications, Kos.Mos.Music..
Музыка Миши - это всегда какая-то атмосферная история, музыка развивается, и слушатель получает информацию, которая воздействует точно на подсознание. Сам Mav считает, что хороший трек должен быть как хорошая книга, т.е. иметь начало и конец, между которыми, располагается сама сюжетная линия. В своем творчестве он старается придерживаться этого правила. Будь то работа в студии или диджей-сет. Его по праву считают одним из лидеров новой волны atmospheric/intelligent drum’n’bass, что он не раз доказал посещав столицу и отыгрывав сумасшедшие по энергетике сеты на STEPPIN’SESSION в прошлом. Помимо этого MAV, пишет и играет и более агрессивную, но не менее интересную и прогрессивную сторону драмнбэйс, сплетающую в себе отголоски техно и транса замешанные на джангл бите, так называемый neurofunk. А зачастую, и в большинстве случаев, его музыка и диджей-сеты соединяют в себе обе эти составляющие, придавая особое свое звучание, каждому его сету. (djpomx.ru)
