Описание: Two flightplans for an expedition to Mount Everest (8852 m)
-----------------------------------------------------------
The first flightplan takes you from Lukla (VNLK) airfield to Mount Everest Climb North: Base Camp. A distance
of about 40 km. The recommended inbuilt aircraft for this trip is the "Maule Orion on skis". Be aware that you
must climb to about 15000 ft before entering the GPS-path. Also, you should try to land across the slope.
Otherwise it could be difficult to stop the aircraft from skiing down the inclined plain!
The second flightplan takes you from Base Camp to Yak Camp* (at about 19000 ft MSL) sitting at a bend of the East
Rongbuk Glacier. This is the first camp on the North Route. You should use a helicopter able to climb to about
20000 ft for this route. For example, the inbuilt Bell 206B JetRanger. Though, it will indeed be a challenge with
this aircraft!
*= It is called the Yak Camp because it is the point at which the yak herders overnight their yaks on the route up
to Advance Base Camp (ABC) at 21300 ft.
FSX Mission--Deer Valley Grand Canyon Flight. This is an intermediate level flight with a reward for a successful completion. By Bob Caparoula.
FSX Mission--Helicopter Rescue. You must pilot a helicopter to a rollover accident on Route 3 in Plymouth, Mass. There is no mission briefing included in the mission. A read me document provides installation instructions, the mission briefing and a navigation tutorial. There are no pointers in the mission, you must be able to understand a sectional chart to locate both the accident scene and the hospital. This mission is rated Advance. By David J. Crandall.
FSX Madagascar Military Cargo Mission. Fly an old, heavy DC-3 on a mysterious transport flight for the Madagascarian military. By Thorsten Reichert.
FSX Mission "Oregon Ablaze". Fire season is upon us again and already there have been reports of several fires burning to the east. A forward command post has been established on the north shore of the Agate reservoir to better co-ordinate our fire-fighting resources. Today you will be flying the Air Boss up to the command post so he can get the latest update on the situation. By Phill Stokes.
FSX Mission--San Antonio IFR Approach. This mission is based on an actual accident report in San Antonio in November 2004. A Piper Navajo, returning to San Antonio from Dodge City with four passengers and a dog, missed the approach to runway 3 and crashed while going around. It was assumed that the pilot became spatially disoriented in the clouds. By Owen Graham.
FSX Mission--Stansted - Palma De Mallorca. You will start ready lined up to takeoff at Stansted Airport with the necessary instruments needed for this flight open. Call for takeoff clearance when ready and take off. Stick to 70,000 feet for the majority of this flight, sticking to ATC when landing at Palma De Mallorca. Mission created by Ian Salter/FS-Addons.
FSX White Mountains Rescue Mission. Two inexperience hikers decide to do some winter backpacking on a trail in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and get lost in a snowstorm. You have been called to help search for them. This mission is rated expert. There are no pointers in the mission, you must be able to understand a sectional chart and know how to navigate using VORs to locate both the hiker and the hospital. You must be experienced in flying a helicopter and be able to hover over an area. By David J. Crandall.
