Описание: The Forgotten Realms is a campaign setting for the Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) fantasy role-playing game, created by game designer Ed Greenwood.[1] Commonly referred to by players and game designers alike as simply "The Realms", it is one of the most popular D&D settings,[2][3] brought about largely due to the success of novels by authors such as R. A. Salvatore and numerous computer role-playing games such as Pool of Radiance, Baldur's Gate, and Neverwinter Nights.
According to the setting's creators, the "Forgotten Realms" is the name of an imaginary fantasy world that exists somewhere beyond our own world. It is described as a world of strange lands, dangerous creatures, and mighty deities, where magic and seemingly supernatural phenomena are quite real. Ostensibly, once upon a time, our Earth and the world of the Forgotten Realms were somehow more closely connected. As time passed, we, the inhabitants of planet Earth, have mostly forgotten about the existence of that other world -- hence the term "Forgotten Realms". On the original Forgotten Realms logo, the little runic letters in it read "Herein lie the lost lands". This is another allusion to this connection between the two worlds.

The text below is taken from a description by TSR on the reverse of the actual product: 'For a millennium, men and giants have abided together in the snowy wilderness of the Ice Spires, all paying fealty to a single dynasty of human kings.
A thousand years of peace is about to shatter.
When an ogre horde kidnaps Brianna of Hartwick - the fiery heir to Hartsvale's throne - King Camden must choose between love of his daughter and duty to his kingdom. Only Tavis Burdun, a brash firbolg scout who coverts Brianna's hand, has the courage to go after her. Before he saves the princess, though, he must uncover the kingdom's most jealously guarded secret...'

The Wizards Series
Blackstaff
Description: The following text is taken from a description on the WotC website: 'Archmage of Waterdeep Chosen of Mystra Master of Blackstaff Tower Khelben “The Blackstaff” Arunsun has lived for centuries and kept more secrets than anyone can imagine. He is more than a wizard, more than the protector of the City of Splendors, and more than human. When his consciousness is intermingled with that of his young apprentice they will learn more from each other than either expected, and go together to a fate neither could possibly see coming. Steven E. Schend, one of the Forgotten Realms setting’s most prolific sages, breathes new life into one of Faerûn’s most vital mages, and reveals secrets and lies from a thousand years of Realmslore.'
Darkvision
Description: The following is a description taken from the reverse of the product by WotC: 'Exile of the hidden city.
Adept of forgotten mysteries.
Sorceress of the celestial nadir. Haunted by nightmares and driven by desire. Ususi defied the will of her people and ran away, venturing alone into the outside world her people abandoned centuries ago. Now Ususi tracks down the relics that brought both prosperity and doom to her people. But when an old adversary finds her trail, she discovers the danger she thought past might only be beginning.'
The Lady Penitent Trilogy
Sacrifice of the Widow
Description: This novel features Halisstra from the War of the Spider Queen series.
Storm of the Dead
Description: The following is taken from a description on the reverse of the product: 'Lolth always plays to win. When goddesses sit down to play a game, the stakes are the souls of their worshippers, and their own immortality. Not even the other gods of the Demonweb Pits can resist the draw of that fateful game, and one has already fallen. But there are mortals that can sense even the shifting winds of the Outer Planes, and not all of them are powerless, even in the face of the Queen of the Demonweb Pits. After all, it took a mortal to make Lolth what she's become, and it may take another mortal to put her back in her place. But how many more gods will die in the process?'
Ascendancy of the Last
Description: The following description is taken from the Amazon.com website: 'Is it the end for the Lady Penitent? Is it the end for Lolth? Lolth has come out of hibernation with a plan that may seem too ambitious even for her, and to pull it off she'll need the help of a drow who's betrayed her at least once already--a drow she's transformed into the demonic Lady Penitent. The shocking conclusion to a trilogy that will change the Forgotten Realms world forever.'
The Cities Series
City of Splendors: A Waterdeep Novel
Description: The following is taken from the reverse of the product by WotC: 'In the streets of Waterdeep, conspiracies run like water through the gutters, bubbling beneath the seeming calm of the city's life. As a band of young, foppish lords discovers there is a dark side to the city they all love, a sinister mage and his son seek to create perverted creatures to further their twisted ends. And across it sprawls the great city itself: brawling, drinking, laughing, living life to the fullest. Even in the face of death.'

Я не телепат, чтобы читать ваши мысли...
1) Что именно нехватает в war of spider queen ?
