Проект Marc et Claude был создан двумя выходцами из немецкого городка Monchengladbach - Marc Romboy и Klaus Derichs. В начале 90-х они решили основать звукозаписывающую компанию - Alphabet City, которая сейчас считается одним из самых известных и успешных лейблов Германии. Alphabet City объединяет несколько звукозаписывающих компаний, таких как : Go For It, Le Petit Prince и Drop Out.
Многие релизы хорошо извесных артистов, таких как Ferry Corsten, Emmanuel Top (известный также как BBE), Future Breeze, John Johnson, Jamez (aka Trancesetters) были выпущены этой звукозаписывающей компанией.
В 1993 году Marc и Klaus решили занятся продюсерской деятельностью и создали свой проект: Marc et Claude.
В 1994 году в связи с огромным количеством работы со своим лейблом, Marc и Klaus решили сделать перерыв в своей продюсерской деятельности.
Этот перерыв затянулся на 3 года, в течение которых они встретили одного из самых лучших немецких продюсеров Jurgen Driessen. Они решили работать вместе. И в 1997 году свет увидел первый результат этого сотрудничества композиция ставшая классикой: La от Marc et Claude.
La заняла лидирующие позиции в немецких танцевальных хит-парадах. После чего трэк был выпущен и в Великобритании на одном из крупнейших лейблов
Ремиксы на эту композицию сделали: Ferry Corsten, DJ Taucher и Jaspa Jones (один из участников проекта Blank & Jones). В 1999 этот трэк стал одним из самых популярных в Великобритании!!!!
После успеха сингла Marc и Klaus вновь возвращаются к любимой работе ди-джеев. В то же самой время они начинают заниматься продвижение проектов своих близких друзей : Ralph Fridge (Angel), John Johnson (Impact), Kay Cee (Escape) and Ferry Corsten and Robert Smit (Starparty). Все эти ди-джеи повторили успех Marc et Claude?s не только в Германии но и в Великобритании.
В конце 1999 года они открывают офис Alphabet City UK в Лондоне, во главе которого стоит их близкий друг John Johnson. Именно там были созданы ремиксы на следующую композицию проекта I need your lovin?(like the sunshine), ставшую супер-хитом Ибицы, летом 2000-го года.
Сингл стал гимном тура лейбла Alphabet City на Ибице, и достиг 12-го места в Английском хит-параде синглов! Это стало самой высокой позицией, на которую поднимались немецкие танцевальные трэки в Англии.
В марте 2002 года они выпустили новый супер-хит Tremble, который очень быстро оккупировал лидирующие позиции в немецких танцевальных чартах
