I am actually a fan of .wv files, but they are not very popular on this site ... in the end I adapted to what the majority wants with the extra benefit the my mobile player works just fine with .dsf, not so much with .wv. The higher quality of the 32/384 format is depending on the equipment you use to listen and of course the source material. I have seen some vinyls that advertise to have been remastered in 192khz (of course I avoid those, but how many are remastered like that undeclared ? You only notice after you play them !).
On the PC i actually prfr listening to .wv; the bitrate gives you a good indication of the sound quality, but hardly notice any difference between 192 and 384. This beautiful LaFace record would be one where a higher definition might be appropriate (but then you read of leechers that say mp3 sounds better)!
