Everything Hits At Once” is the manifestation of a fractured life plagued by alienation, trauma, isolation and self-destruction. Like a mosaic, it is the culmination of a wide variety of emotions and experiences that when stitched together, create one large impression, grander and more overwhelming than the sum of its parts. Each piece, every woe and each minute of misery is merely a microcosm of the bigger picture, the perpetual despair that comes along with living in the 21st century.
Written from the perspective of an autistic person, the album both lyrically and sonically captures how overwhelming and difficult it can be to get through troubled times and navigate the world we live in. With lush, ethereal synthesizers, danceable beats, doom-laden guitars, harsh industrial electronic soundscapes and soaring, melancholic melodies, the album takes you on an emotional journey through desolation and ennui. It is a versatile hate letter to societal expectations, an exercise in self-loathing, substance abuse and suicidal thoughts, but most importantly it’s a cry for help and an unabashedly earnest plea for human connection.
