Hailing from Houston, Texas & supporting a sound of southern rock & blues fused with an alternative swagger, Dead Man's Ransom is 100% original & has one goal in mind...to write great songs with traditional arrangements and a solid groove!
Founded by Singer/Guitarist Eric Lauer in January of 2011, Dead Man's Ransom is running strong and shows no signs of stopping. The bands first musical release was in April of 2013 and has gained interest from music journalists all over the globe. The 8 song EP aptly titled "Three Chords & The Truth" is filled with straight up rock tunes and a bluesy approach. Later that year the band released its first single titled "When The Daylight Breaks" and is now hard at work recording a second album due out by 2014.
Completing the lineup are musicians Robert Bradley (Bass) & Benjamin Brignac (Percussion), who's musical influences stem from Classic rock to old Irish folk and Zydeco. Both musicians have been playing their entire lives and it shows. Having cut their teeth gigging in bands back home ranging from the swamps of Louisiana all the way to the northern area of Canada's Newfoundland, the rhythm section has a unique blend of styles that comes together tastefully in Dead Man's Ransom.
The group is currently gigging in and around Houston with hopes to branch out and test the waters regionally. After playing multiple shows, releasing albums, and working hard in the rehearsal room Dead Man's Ransom is firing on all cylinders.
