This 1969 release marked the first collaboration between Cleveland-based vocal group, the O'Jays and the genius songwriting/producing tandem of Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff. Together, they would churn out some of the greatest songs in history, on Gamble and Huff's iconic Philadelphia International Records. This album, while not a particularly huge chart success, is excellent nonetheless. The seeds of the burgeoning Philly sound were definitely sown here. Essential for any Philly soul fan.
