Kjell (*1943) is a brilliant piano and organ player, composer and arranger. He plays in all styles in jazz and popular music. As a studio musician he has been playing on more than 3,000 records.
Kjell has performed and recorded with Lionel Hampton, Red Mitchell, Toots Tielemans, Red Holloway, Svend Asmussen, Louie Bellson, Ben Webster, Zoot Sims, Georgie Fame, and almost every Swedish artist. He has toured in Europe, USA, India and South Africa.

In this recording Kjell has gathered some of his favourite musicians round the Hammond B3 in a selection of his favourite jazz evergreens. It is interesting to note that in recent years there has been a massive revival of the authentic Hammond B3 organ in jazz, rock and blues.
The other artists taking part are world famous guitarist Rune Gustafsson, Denmark's Mads Vinding on bass, Leif "Gus" Dahlberg, drums, and last but not least, as special guest for six numbers, Arne Domnerus, alto sax!

All of them, not least Kjell himself, seem to be in the very best of swing tempers. Some numbers also feature that master of alto sax Arne Domnerus, who just seems to go on getting better and better. His playing in Benny Carter's beautiful ballad The Favour of the Fool is in itself worth buying the record for.
