The magic of the Leeb-Fulber writing duo is in full force on these records, an incredible knack for pure EBM, Canadian-style: driving basslines, steel-can drums, dystopian vocoded vocals, and spacy synth lines! Now, for the first time ever, Strategy of Violence is reissued as a wonderful double-LP vinyl. The record is remastered, artwork is restored, and the entire set is housed in an incredible gatefold sleeve. What's more, Bill Leeb dug deep into the archives and found two ridiculously amazing unreleased bonus tracks, which appear only on this Artoffact Records edition. Я имел в виду только один конкретный альбом, который я себе купил Noise Unit - Drill (USA версия) А вот из Front Line Assembly - side project запал только на альбом Implode.
И сразу же купил его Front Line Assembly - Implode (Digipack)

Всему миру Bill Leeb известен как EBM, Industrial музыкант, и нигде и никогда не было упоминания про Гоа транс в его исполнении !!!
ой, ну подеритьесь еще. какая разница как эти стили называть? напридумывали ярлыков, как будто они что-то вообще означают, каждый музыкант придумывает для своей версии танцевальной умца-умцы новое название чтобы доказать свою важность, а вся разница только в том что в одном оно бумкает а в другом булькает

Там они сразу заставили обратить на себя внимание.
Потом я их очень долго искал и случайно так нашел.
Мнение, что Noise Unit имеет какое-то отношение к Гоа-трансу, это конечно за гранью. Bill Leeb, удивился бы... Хочется, попросить добрых людей, если такие найдутся, выложить совсем свежие переиздания на виниле "Strategy Of Violence" "Decoder" теперь, еще и "Drill" Интересно, как эти альбомы звучат на пластинках и там есть бонусы, которых нет на CD.
Психоделический транс
Он же «псай-транс», он же «психоделик-транс» («псайкодэлик-»), он же «псай» («псай-»), (англ. psychedelic trance, psytrance, psy) — направление в электронной музыке, отделившееся от гоа-транса в середине 1990-х годов. Гоа-транс
Основные элементы культуры псай-транса и гоа-транса совпадают. Для их создания используется одинаковый инвентарь, концерты (вечеринки, рэйвы) проводятся по схожим схемам, поклонники и того, и другого жанра в народе называются «трансерами», у них одинаковая атрибутика: «кислотные» цвета и рисунки, знаки «ॐ» и пр.
Основное отличие, как следует из названия — музыкальный акцент на «психоделии», в то время как центральной темой гоа-транса традиционно является ритм и танец. Псай-транс подразделяется на многочисленные дополнительные жанры, устремленные либо в «жёсткую» сторону (dark psy), либо в «мягкую» (psybient), либо во все стороны сразу (suomisaundi). К настоящему времени наиболее «мейнстримовым» стал так называемый «фулл-он», который, как правило, строится по определенным ритмическим правилам, достаточно гармоничен и мелодичен и подходит большинству любителей жанра.
Необходимо отметить, что современная музыка, особенно электронная, в целом с трудом поддаётся классификации, и разные группы людей часто имеют разные представления о её подвидах. Транса это особенно касается, так как он, вероятно, является самым многообразным из жанров. EBM

Термин EBM использован в 1984 бельгийской командой Front 242 — так они охарактеризовали свою музыку. Характеристика: чёткие ритмичные танцевальные марши с завораживающим «нечеловеческим» вокалом и яркие примеси электронного эмбиента. Близок к синтипопу, однако тяжелее и агрессивней его.
Ярчайшие представители, заложившие фундамент данному музыкальному направлению на стыке 80-х и 90-х годов и составлявшие долгое время его основу, — индастриал-группы Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, Front Line Assembly и Leaether Strip.
Помимо классического EBM в 90-х годах сформировалось несколько его поднаправлений, где музыканты видоизменяли различным образом первоначальное звучание и вокал. В первую очередь это Techno-industrial и Dark Electro. В первом случае синтезаторы, как и в EBM, звучат гораздо тяжеловеснее, чем в синти-попе; в большинстве случаев используется мощный, но чистый вокал, без использования компьютерной обработки. В Dark Electro же наоборот, наиболее активно используется эффект дисторшна. Здесь преобладают очень жёсткие и довольно мрачные ритмы. Наиболее известные представители — Project Pitchfork, Funker Vogt, Decoded Feedback, In Strict Confidence, Solitary Experiments, Snog, Wumpscut, Velvet Acid Christ, Suicide Commando, Hocico.
Часть исполнителей пошли ещё дальше — создавая менее жёсткую и более танцевальную музыку, они смешивали электро-индастриал c синти-попом и элементами клубной электронной музыки, перейдя таким образом в отдельное направление Futurepop (главные представители — VNV Nation, Covenant, Apoptygma Berzerk, Assemblage 23, Icon Of Coil).
В 2000-е наметились тенденции возвращения к классическому звучанию EBM 80-х годов — Anhalt EBM. Этот стиль характеризуется сугубо электронной, нарочито примитивной и минималистичной, но при этом агрессивной музыкой. По звучанию и смысловой нагрузке он близок к панку (или даже Oi!). Исполнители Anhalt EBM вдохновляются группами DAF и Nitzer Ebb.
EBM популярен в кругах как любителей индустриальной (риветхеды), так и готической музыки (готы). Industrial Dance
(«индустриальный танец») — североамериканский альтернативный термин для EBM и электро-индустриальной музыки. Фанаты, которые связаны с этим музыкальным направлением, называют себя «Кибер-гот» . С середины 1980-х годов термин «Industrial dance» был использован для описания музыки Cabaret Voltaire, Die Krupps, Portion Control, The Neon Judgement, Clock DVA, Nitzer Ebb, Skinny Puppy, Front Line Assembly, Front 242, Ministry, KMFDM, Yeht Mae, Manufacture, Leæther Strip и Spahn Ranch. Ну так а я о чем? Короче так: сколько музыкантов, столько и стилей.
Или так: сколько вечеринок, столько и стилей. Гоа-транс - это все то, что диджеи врубали для танцулек на Гоа. Потом обозвали это стилем. Некоторые даже наверно специально писали музыку для этих танцулек, типа как потому что модно и денюжку плотють. А некоторые были туда добавлены явочным порядком: ты мне понравился, нарекаю тебя коловратом гоатрансом. Так, какому-нибудь диджею на Гоа понравилась композиция Нойз Юнит, и он ее включил в свою программу, и потом она попала в какой-нибудь их очередной сборник. Внезапно из индастриала преватившись в гоа-транс. Вот в 80е было такое понятие "модная музыка". Все причем прекрасно понимали что это такое. И это что-то менялось из года в год. И музыкально это все относилось к очень разным стилям, но если ставить в какой-то год все "модное" подряд, то оно оказывалось довольно похожим. Тогда еще не дотумкали, что это можно объявить "стилем" и стричь бабло на клепании подобий в индустриальных масштабах. Так что в моем понимании "гоа-транс" - всего лишь "модная музыка курортов Гоа", только и всего.

Разве кто-то будет отрицать что ( Noise Unit ) содержит психоделический транс.
Также ситуация с ( Juno Reactor ) там тоже трудно что-то конкретное сказать. Настолько они разнообразны и экспериментальны.
К жанрам EBM, Industrial, я бы скорей отнес ( Front 242 ) ( Wumpscut ) ( Covenant ) ( Nine Inch Nails ) они полностью соответствуют этому жанру.
Тут важно понять, как такое сплетение электронных стилей и подстилей, будет называться позже.
Здесь больше экспериментальности пока, чем чего-то точного и конкретного.
Самих себя назвать можно как угодно, хоть электронный молот, хоть электронная вселенная.
Здесь точная категория вроде как есть, но нет точного определения развитию течения.
А основа у этих направлений и это точно; Experimental Electro, Progressive Electro.
Одним словом, электронная музыка была, электронной музыкой и осталась.

все правильно написано в приведенной тобой цитате из вики про классификацию стилей...Я слушаю FLA c конца 80-х гг - у меня в коллекции есть все их альбомы; конечно это чистый EBM был изначально (потом они уже сами стали развиваться и формировать стили, под к-рые косили другие). Noise Unit - более коммерческая (на тот период), в основном инструментальная музыка, особенно мне нравился Decoder, возможно там и можно увидеть элементы других стилей, включая и псай-трэнс. Но я хочу привести еще более показательный пример с еще одним сайд-проектом Билла Либа - Delerium. Вот он точно уже не EBM - а коммерческий проект, позволяющий зарабатывать деньги. Меня как то удивила одна цифра: один из синглов Delerium в конце 90-х был продан большим кол-вом экземпляров, чем ВСЕ (!) выпущенные к тому времени альбомы FLA! Даже как то обидно....
Ребята, для полного понимания что такое (психоделик-транс) и (кислотный-транс) ноского он сложный и какое он имеет отношения к ( Noise Unit )

Очень порадовал бонус трек с альбома "Decoder"- Lifetime. Похоже, что это новый трек. Как же не хватает, нового альбома Noise Unit !! Впрочем, так же как, новых Synaesthesia и Intermix.
