"I've Been Loving You" is the 1968 debut single by Elton John with lyrics credited to Bernie Taupin (although John later admitted that he wrote the song by himself, giving Taupin credit as an effort to earn Taupin his first publishing royalties). The B-side is "Here's to the Next Time", an Elton John composition. "I've Been Loving You" was not originally included on any album and the single was withdrawn shortly after its release. As with his two previous singles, it failed to chart in the U.S. and the UK. However, the song became hit in Japan two years later, peaking at the #13 on the country's Oricon sales chart. It had been a most commercially successful song for him in that country, until double A-side single "Candle in the Wind 1997/"Something About the Way You Look Tonight" topped the chart in October 1997.

Rocket Man (I Think It's Going to Be a Long, Long Time) (17 April 1972)
"Rocket Man (I Think It's Going to Be a Long, Long Time)" is a song composed by Elton John and Bernie Taupin and originally performed by John. The song echoes the theme of David Bowie's 1969 song "Space Oddity" (both recordings were produced by Gus Dudgeon), but according to an account in Elizabeth Rosenthal's book His Song: The Musical Journey of Elton John, the song was inspired by Taupin's sighting of either a shooting star or a distant airplane. The account goes on to relate that the notion of astronauts no longer being perceived as heroes, but in fact as an "everyday occupation" led him to the song's opening lines, "She packed my bags last night, pre-flight. Zero hour: 9 a.m. And I'm gonna be high as a kite by then."
The song first appeared on John's 1972 album Honky Château and became a hit single, rising to #2 in the UK and #6 in the U.S. It was also used by U2 as an ending during their 360° Tour.

"Honky Cat" is a song from the 1972 Elton John album Honky Château, the album's lead-off track.
A fast, spirited number (171 bpm) played without any guitar, with Davey Johnstone playing banjo instead, "Honky Cat" is essentially about the illusion created by city life. The song is dominated by John's piano, but features the most extensive horn section on any Elton John song of the time to provide additional rhythm elements.
"Honky Cat" reached the Billboard top 10 when released as a single, but only reached #31 in Britain and did not chart in Australia - though it is still a staple of "classic rock" radio. The song hit #8 on the U.S. charts, just as Elton John launched an American tour, in September 1972. The album title "Honky Chateau" is a reference to where it was recorded, the Château d'Hérouville, about 30 miles outside of Paris.[1]
The song has gone on to become one of the centerpiece numbers of John's live stage show, played in all sorts of arrangements, including solo piano. 1986/1987 live version
A live version recorded on 14 December 1986 appears on the Live in Australia with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra album. An edited version of this recording was released as a single in 1987 and also appears in the To Be Continued... box set.
1991 version (November 30, 1991)
As successful as the 1974 record had been, it was as a duet with George Michael that "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" had its greatest success. The pair had performed the song at the Live Aid concert in 1985. Recorded live at a concert at Wembley Arena, London on 25 March 1991 when Elton John was a surprise guest of George Michael, the duet became a massive hit on both sides of the Atlantic. It was released later that year and reached number one on the UK singles chart for two weeks in December 1991 and a single week on the Billboard Hot 100 in February 1992.
The Bitch Is Back (September 3, 1974)

Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds (18 November 1974)
"Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" is a song written primarily by John Lennon and credited to Lennon–McCartney, for The Beatles' 1967 album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
In 1974, Elton John released a cover version as a single. Recorded at the Caribou Ranch, it featured backing vocals and guitar by John Lennon under the pseudonym Dr. Winston O'Boogie (Winston being Lennon's middle name).
The B-Side of the single was also a John Lennon composition, "One Day (At a Time)," a song from Lennon's 1973 album Mind Games. As with the A-Side, Lennon appears on the B-Side, playing guitar. In the US it was certified Gold on 29 January 1975 by the RIAA.
During their collaboration, Elton John appeared on John Lennon's song "Whatever Gets You Thru the Night". Lennon promised to appear live with John at Madison Square Garden if "Whatever Gets You Thru the Night" became a number 1 single. Elton John once said, "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is a song that I never do in a set at a concert simply because it reminds me too much of John Lennon. This is the same with Empty Garden".
It was a part of Elton John's repertoire until 1976. One notable one-off performance by Elton John took place on 9 October 1988, John Lennon's birthday. It also received a handful of performances in 1998, but has not been played live by Elton John since. Both the single and the B-side were later released on the 1995 re-release of his album Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy and appear on various compilations.
It is the only Beatles cover song to reach #1 on the Billboard Chart.

The song, which at 6:45 was one of Elton's longest singles, was supposed to be edited to a shorter version for radio consumption. However, John refused to let MCA Records pare it down, saying that it was to be released as a whole, and the record company acquiesced
John has played the song live many times, one of the best known recorded performances coming during the Central Park concert in September 1980.
Island Girl (September 29, 1975)

И в очередной раз - слова огромной благодарности!
Некогда в юности пришел по почте очередной выпуск журнала "Ровесник", с очередной статьёй из "Рок-энциклопедии" под названием "Элтон Джон", где был напечатан перечень номерных пластинок и ЕР. Тогда безнадежно подумалось - найти бы хоть десятую часть этого богатства... Разве можно было представить, что посчастливится услышать (и переслушать) не только каждый из них, но и бОльшую часть синглов...
Единственное - скорости бы побольше... А то 7 кб/с - как-то удручающе...

Всем доброго дня! А никто не анализировал эту кучу на предмет вхождения в номерные альбомы? ИНтересует как раз,то,что не входило....Хорошо,тариф безлимитный,качаю все подряд,по принципу "потом разберемся",но,чую много лишнего засасывается......:)

Более чем 25 лет тому назад записал с радио живое выполнение Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word. Потерял запис и очень дольго искал откуда это выполнение. Наконец-то нашел! Самое лучшое живое выполнение этой песни находится именно в Maxi Single Nikita - Live At Wembley Stadium, 1984! Играет и поет превозходно. Ничего общего не имеет с выполнение в Австралии и потом. Спасибо!
Пожалуйста, возможно ли это найти на Lossless с компакт диска?
