Актёр, который в главной роли, тоже играет блестяще, начиная с момента, где он меняет причёску. А в начале сериала он, по непонятной причине, плохо играет. Я начало даже и смотреть не стал, пропустил всё в ускоренном режиме. (Хочу добавить про этого актёра, что он всегда и везде играет блестяще, и я видел очень интересный дуэт в сериале "Hi, Working Girl!" (hi 上班女郎), где он играет с широко известной певицей Jolin Tsai (Цай И-Лин, 蔡依林). Оказывается, она -- великолепная комедийная актриса! Только её лицо там другое, потому что фильм был снят до того, как она начала многолетнюю серию пластических операций. Я пока только нашёл этот сериал на YouTube с китайскими субтитрали).
Из остальных актёров половина играет блестяще, а половина просто плохо. Очень неприятно видеть хороших и плохих актёров в одном и том же кадре в один и тот же момент...

I was staring at Rainie Yang's face in disbelief. It was unreal. That was genius acting. I have never seen anything like that.
Her performance slowly builds through the series. You watch a scene where you think her acting couldn't be better, and then, before you know it, there is a scene later on with even greater acting. I'll never forget her scream in the climactic scene.
In a typical love story, emotions are limited to joy and grief, but here, with so many twists in the plot, Rainie Yang gets an opportunity to show the breadth of her acting skill. There are scenes towards the end of the series where she has to be sarcastic, and she is brilliant when she is sarcastic. She is incredibly funny when she is drunk. Her acting is magnificent in a scene where she is near death, standing with blood running on her face. She is perfectly natural and inseparable from her character in every emotional state.
Show Luo acts brilliantly and is a good match for Rainie Yang, but only after he changes his hairstyle. In the beginning, for an unknown reason, his acting is so bad, I couldn't even watch it, and fast-forwarded the entire sequence with his old haircut.
Lee Wei is very good, but his character is kind of static.
A couple of other actors are excellent too, but the rest of the cast's acting ranges from poor to atrocious (taxi driver is the worst).
It is so unpleasant, and such a pity, to see good and bad actors' faces in the same frame. Rainie Yang's genius deserves much better entourage.
