Dear ETKA administrator,
Daily password entry will soon be activated.
This activation is the result of new data protection requirements from the VW Group as well as from
LexCom. The purpose of this change is to make ETKA more secure and to allow greater
personalization for different groups of users in the future.
On a day-to-day basis this means that every ETKA user must enter the myETKAinfo-ID password
once a day to start ETKA. This password is currently stored in “Maintenance > Settings > User
Identification > ETKA Online Services“
To make sure that the transition to daily password entry is as smooth as possible, we strongly urge
you to check that
- every ETKA workstation has a separate username
- every ETKA user knows the appropriate password
- every ETKA user has assigned a valid e-mail address
Please note that this e-mail address is required for the “forgotten password“ function.
If you need to create new ETKA usernames, change passwords or assign individual e-mail addresses,
please go to “Additional Functions > Administration > Account” in ETKA.
Note on group mail addresses (for example, info@...): Please remember that individual passwords
can be read by anyone who has access to this mail address.
