Agreed.
Poor mooks buying products from Modern Air Power series and Naval Campaigns when market offers them such titles as "Command: Modern Operations" are like people who pay for phone sex all the while sitting next to a beautiful and willing gal.
Well, you are right. But that both series do not represent, at all, the main quota of the WDS portfolio, in terms of popularity. They are just side series to 'increase' the target. In my personal opinion that both series are just a wannabe; there are much more solid titles in the market, as you mentioned.
The biggest quota for WDS, same as it was with JTL, is around PzC/Nappy/CWB. There is a pretty lack of real competitors of this series, at least at the level of deep they have. We have GG or TOAW but I would not put them in the same scale.

Napoleonic Battles series. Campaign Eckmuhl, Version 4.08.1, Approaching Abensberg scenario.
Very questionable AI behavior. The Austrian side has more troops and Bavarian infantry ain't that eager to see a fight in close quarters - simply put they tend to fail a morale check after a melee. Basically the Austrian side just has to move forward and break the opposing force. Well, it wouldn't be a SSs (Same Side studio aka WDS) game without some major issues, right?
Okay, guys, just take a look at what's going on here - do you see those Austrian skirmishers in the bog? Spoiler alert - they spent the entire scenario length there and the Austrian side kept sending more and more troops to join 'em! They didn't go across the marsh - that would be a disaster for me, they didn't move forward - disaster again (a slow creeping one), AI just takes a significant chunk of assigned force and puts it out of action. All that infantry could have been encircling my troops on the hill and providing a much needed relief to the vanguard units.
Turn 10: The more the merrier!
Okay, same picture, different area of attention. You see a fresh lancers unit standing right next to my infantry. Don't worry - that's pacifist cavalry, they're not charging, they just wanna mingle! That cav unit will lose around 300 men while doing nothing, just moving around right next to my infantry lines.

Here you can see my sword cavalry charging the enemy infantry, I have no idea why AI can't do the same.
And the final result. Once again - AI had way more troops, that should have been a huge loss for my side.
Side note: in case any of you guys have some sort of resentment towards early 19th century Bavarians this scenario provides you with a unique opportunity to show 'em what's what. I didn't try playing it on the Austrian side, but I think it could be won without firing a single shot only with melee action.

Okay, this is effed up even by SS standards (Same Side propaganda unit formerly known as WDS).
Clearly a recon unit. Recce is short for reconnaissance so the unit card repeatedly assures you that it's actually, indeed and 100% a recon company
Nope, try pressing Ctrl+R (recon spotting), and the game will tell you that it's not.

There was a link to cyberfile.me server with the updated versions of JTS games, i mean _4081 version which are now all down. For example JTS_Waterloo_4081.rar from https://cyberfile.me/sUl1 loads but download never works. Is anybody kind to upload a new working links ?
