Hailing from Southwest PA, THE FALL OF ME was officially formed in early 2021. Vocalist Chelsea Ritenour and Guitarist Paul Lancaster had met in 2019 while filming an episode of "Music Talks" a local TV cable show, and started talking about a collaboration of original music. When the timing and scheduling aligned, they had their first writing session. In that session they wrote their first two songs together, "Rain" and "The Fall of Me"
As writing sessions got more involved, they knew that they had to take things to the next level. When the discussion of a name came up, it was decided that "The Fall of Me" should be used. They quickly began working out demos and in August of 2021, they entered TONIC RECORDING STUDIO to start recording their debut EP. Luke Martucci, a studio session Drummer handled all the percussion duties. Bassist Donny Kemp was recruited to do the bass tracks as well as some live shows until a permanent line-up could be found.
November 2021, their first single "Parasite" along with a music video was released, followed by their second single and video for “Fall”, released in January of 2022. Finally, the full six song, self titled EP was released in February of 2022.
In November of that same year, Todd Guerrieri was brought on to be the permanent percussionist and The Fall of Me played our first show in late November of 22.
Chelsea is a classically trained American soprano with a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University (14’) and an MM from Mannes (16’), both in vocal performance. Prior to switching genres, Ritenour was an up and coming coloratura with contracts both in and out of the United States. Shortly after finishing one of her contracts with the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Ritenour was hired with a traveling pop production band that toured not only throughout the Pittsburgh area, but also the US. This is what prompted her transition to rock vocals in 2019.
Ritenour is also a very successful vocal coach/teacher promoting vocal health, agility, range expansion, and authenticity of sound.
Ariach is the bringer and observer of chaos. Though she does not inflict pain upon the mortal world unless called to do so, she is a looming presence over those that are experiencing their darkest and most tempting moments.
As a fallen angel, she is both sophisticated and highly intelligent. But, as her fall would suggest, she is quite literally insane, gaining power and enjoyment from people’s misfortunes.
Todd/ Mr. Drury
Todd is a self taught drummer who seriously started honing his craft at the age of 16. He listens to various genres of music, but his heart and soul belong to Rock and Metal.
His major influences include Neal Peart, Mikkey Dee, Vinny Appice, Tommy Aldridge, Mike Portnoy and Peter Criss to name a few. He has played in many numerous bands and played many states throughout the years whose bands have opened for Pantera , Motorhead, Overkill, Judas Priest, Heaven and Hell, Mushroomhead and Trouble. He has been blessed to play with many talented band mates who have also taught him how to write for the song and also go a little over the top when needed
Derek/Draugr
Hailing from Maryland, Derek is a very skilled guitarist who has played in bands such as SHAWDOWBURN and decided to take on the role as our Undead Viking Warrior!
He brings more vocal elements to the band make our Characters and story telling more colorful and agressive!
Paul/Locrian
Paul was born into a musical family and has been playing since the age of 6. With an "old school" approach, he has a wide range of influences including Paul McCartney, Ritchie Blackmore, Yngwie, Jake E Lee, Queensryche, Nightwish, Steve Perry, King Diamond & Captain Jack Sparrow to name a few!
Locrian is an old soul. Quiet, uniquely unresolved and sometimes known for being the odd one out. He is dark and mysterious and brings disarray to his surroundings. He prefers to be a sort of fly on the wall and will only disclose his true intentions after the fact unless he chooses to be heard. He takes pleasure from the confusion and disorder that he has caused without anyone the wiser of his plans.
