A dupla é formada por Sebastião Alves da Cunha, o Biá, nascido em Coromandel – MG, em 1927 e falecido no dia 02 de setembro de 2006, em São Paulo; e pelo compositor e cantor Gerson Coutinho da Silva, o Goiá, nascido em Coromandel MG no dia 11 de janeiro de 1935. Eles gravaram apenas um LP, que recebeu o nome de “Saudade de Minha Terra” e foi lançado pelo selo Tropicana, no ano de 1973. Biá morreu. Goiá morreu em Uberaba – MG, no dia 20 de janeiro de 1981 e foi enterrado em Coromandel, sua cidade natal, à sombra de um pé de cedro.
