«Arthada & Friends» – это австрийская музыкальная группа, которая исполняет произведения Шри Чинмоя в своих аранжировках для восточных и западных музыкальных инструментов (фисгармония, ситар, эсрадж, бамбуковая флейта, тампура, табла, кларнет, гитара, вокал).
This album was recorded over a weekend in fall 2001, in a more or less sleepless 48-hour session “with all the bells and whistles”, and with outmoded (analogue) equipment. Then we mixed it summarily without a deeper understanding of audio engineering and used an analogue device that by now has probably found its way into a museum. In spite of that – or maybe because of that –, many people have said that this album has a special spirit and a vibration of great inner longing. We won’t pretend that the music is perfect, and the sound is also far from being great; nevertheless, the album sold remarkably well – perhaps thanks to its genuineness; it is simple, intense and haunting. Interestingly enough, some still consider it our best album.
